Family bonding and its relationship to mental health

People are affected by the environment around them, and the family is the first and essential factor in building an individual's personality. And the strong interdependence between individuals in any relationship is the catalyst in overcoming the problems and pressures between these people without causing any damage. Family bonding is the factor contributing to the formation of a stable personality that has the ability to participate in community life. Therefore, family bonding is characterized by strength, familiarity and the individual’s sense that he has an entity for permanent help and support, and thus the formation of sound mental health far from mental disorders.

   It is certain that the person who feels calm and confident in himself and those around him, has grown up in a family with mutual trust, participation and a language of dialogue between members of this family each other. Therefore, sound and stable mental health is due to a family bond based on friendliness and tranquility. The results of this connection are shown in:

Coexistence in a stable, undisturbed environment.

The individual's sense of constant support and lack of loneliness.

Giving is greater than all individuals.

- Increasing production in scientific and professional life.

Achieving safety and psychological stability among family members and among members of society.

The high rate of academic achievement and help the children in their social life outside the family.

The ability to overcome problems, persistence in situations of sadness and joy, and ease of adaptation to any circumstances.

Avoiding psychological disorders arising as a result of a sense of deprivation and deficiency.

- Increasing individual focus and social intelligence.

 

  We all have to prevent psychological disorders and resort to helping the family bond between each individual and the other and correcting relationships, because it is reflected in the environment and the society around us. We have to help build a sober and interdependent society.
